FRANK Gallery Outreach
As an artist-educator and community worker, I use photography in collaborative projects with other visual and performing artists, health care providers, teachers, poets, academics, environmentalists, humanists, and psychologists, using photography and the creative arts as stimulus for promoting understanding and inclusion.
I am an artist member of the FRANK Gallery in Chapel Hill. In my role as one of the Outreach coordinators for the Michael & Laura Brader-Araje Community Gallery of the FRANK Gallery, we seek opportunities to advocate for families and youth in need, providing photo documentation and marketing materials. Through grants and pubic arts funding, we provide many services, working with literacy programs using photography, art, and creative writing. We work with emotionally distressed children in therapeutic environments, hospitals, and treatment centers.
Our 2016 programs include
- IntraHealth International with The Human Touch:Portraits of Care
- Volunteers for Youth
